The grapes for this wine are grown on Great Castle Estate near Nakskov, an area in excess Nakskov Fjord, one of the few places in Denmark with a unique climate gives grapes a lot of flavors.

Soil is the old seabed composed of light sandy loam on clay.

Wine is made in Højbakke vineyard which is adapted to modern principles.

This wine is composed of grape variety Regent originally from Germany and introduced in Denmark in 1996

Lovely aromatic wine in a strong southern European style, with good tannins.

The wine is medium dry with a reasonable level and acid tanin.

The wine color is sharp red-blue.

The grapes are harvested in early October from sticks planted in 2006.

The wine is fermented in the husk for 10 days and is then fermented finished in steel tanks.

After the wine has been with egechips for approx. 3 months.

The wine is well suited to red meat and meat dishes.
