The grapes for this wine are grown on Botoftegård by Nakskov, an area that is additional to the Baltic Sea and one of the few places in Denmark with a unique climate gives grapes a lot of flavors.Soil is old havvbund consisting of light sandy loam on clay.Wine is made in Højbakke vineyard which is adapted to modern principles.This wine is composed of grape variety Cabernet Cortis originally from France and introduced in Denmark in 2005.The wine is medium dry with a reasonable level and acid tanin.The grapes are harvested in early October from sticks planted in 2006.The wine is fermented in the husk for 10 days and is then fermented finished in steel tanks.After the wine has been with egechips for approx. 3 months.The finished wine is light red with a fruity taste of blackcurrant.The wine is well suited for light roasts, game and cheeses.
